No! The MPC Live Dub Masterclass is designed as a standalone course. You are going to benefit from this masterclass not only as a beginner - even if you are an advanced or professional producer!
  
Remember: You can allways work with your own music, riddims or tracks and apply the techniques of this MPC Live Dub Masterclass to your existing MPC workflow!

If you already produce Dub, Reggae, Dancehall or other genres, you can immediately start applying the techniques to your own productions. It is all about the live performance with your MPC. 


Which MPC is Used in the MPC Live Dub Masterclass?

In the course the MPC Live 3 is used. If you are using another Akai MPC it is no problem at all. The MPC Live Dub Masterclass works for MPC Live 1, Live 2, Live 3, One, One+, One G2, MPC X, MPC XL, Key 37, Key 37 G2 & Key 61.

What is the Difference Between the MPC Reggae Masterclass and the MPC Live Dub Masterclass?

The two Masterclasses are teaching different skills. While the MPC Reggae Masterclass is focused on the process of building the riddim (beat) from scratch the MPC Live Dub Masterclass is teaching you how to perform your created riddims or tunes live in a dub style! Both masterclasses work perfectly together, but neither course is a prerequisite for the other. So it is like this in one short formula:

MPC Reggae Masterclass = Building the Riddim
MPC Live Dub Masterclass = Dub Riddims Live


I could also learn Dubbing on the MPC with the help of AI, right?​

Yes, you could. But keep in mind that there are significant differences between AI and natural intelligence of humans. One thing is the emotion and the power of emotional intelligence especially when it comes to music and art. The other thing is that information is just a piece of the overall puzzle. Never underestimate the true power of experience. All in all you could use prompts instead of making music yourself. But the interesting question would be: Why should we outsoure the fun part? More than just a rhetorical question!
